Hi, I’m Chloe!
I recently completed my Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and began my SSHRC funded postdoctoral research fellowship there this September.
Our world currently faces many pervasive social issues, including social inequality, environmental sustainability, mental and physical illnesses, and political polarization. I study how individuals and organizations navigate and address these complex social issues.
My research program consists of two interconnected research streams: 1) examining how to motivate employees and organizations to better address social issues, and 2) understanding the underlying moral motivational barriers and processes of social change.
I use a multi-method approach that combines experiments, field surveys, archival data, and longitudinal studies. I am also committed to the reproducibility and transparency of my work, by adhering to responsible research practices (e.g., preregistration, open materials and data).
My work has been published in top-tier journals, such as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and Social Issues and Policy Review. It has also been covered in the Stanford Social Innovation Review, The Washington Post, The Times, Psychology Today, and other media outlets.
